AIA076E - Train the Trainer
Description
In a professional and yet fun learning way, we are
preparing your future instructors and trainers for their role.
In this course participants are trained in principles of adult
learning, basic instructional methods, strategies, and techniques.
The course includes lesson planning, training aid design, selection
and usage, achievement testing, and design and use.
AIA is the primary source for professional training skills and
training technology. The division is staffed with instructional
systems specialists, engineers, program managers and support
personnel. In instructor training and evaluation courses,
participants learn basic techniques for classroom and lab
instruction, which is essential for the development and maintenance
of a successful training program. AIA offers courses in instructor
training (classroom), on-the-job training techniques, curriculum
development, instructional testing, and instructor techniques for
Interactive Video Tele training. In
our training, we address both instructors and trainers who
give classroom lessons as well as those working with training
devices the following objectives: basics of learning psychology -
developing methodological and didactic principles for the learning
process - good planning and use of up-to-date training methods -
varying out a teaching unit - feedback - various trainer roles in a
company environment - ideas for planning interaction between people
in a learning environment. Participants are introduced to new
instructional technology. Newly appointed instructors and trainers
receive a solid foundation for preparing and delivering learning
units, while those with previous experience have the opportunity to
strengthen their knowledge and explore new methods and ideas in a
suitable environment. Participants classroom presentations are
included for practical application of knowledge and skills learned. Many drills and examples are shown and each
participant is invited to make a demonstration.
Objectives
At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Plan and organize classroom
presentations.
- Prepare lesson objectives, end of
lesson tests, training aids, interactive items, and lesson
plans.
- Conduct classroom presentations.
- Use effective communication skills and
instructional techniques.
- Using effective
demonstration/performance techniques, conduct
laboratory/workshop presentations.
- Develop, administer, and critique
writ-ten performance evaluations.
Who should
attend
All enrollment spaces are reserved for international
