Description: The purpose of the course is to give all personnel with or without
experience, a successful understanding of the topic. To
provide theoretical and practical knowledge on SAR operations and
management, and to prepare participants to conduct SAR operations in
their respective Rescue Coordination Centers (RCCs).
Contents:

Theoretical and
practical when possible knowledge on planning and management of a SAR
CENTRE

Activate initial
search & emergency assistance procedure

Recall the
principles of SAR planning and implement plan

Allocate available
resources to a calculated search area in a systematic and
thorough manner

Coordination with
other authorities as per the SAR situation

Carry out duties
as a member of the RCC team

insight into future trends in SAR operations through lectures

Duration: 4 weeks + 1 weekend for on-site visit of a national
agency
Prerequisites: As much as possible, air traffic controllers or
personnel from airport authorities, military agencies, airport
emergency services and other government agencies who are responsible
for performing functions related to aeronautical SAR in a RCC, or
senior-level personnel (preferably chiefs or deputy chiefs) involved
in the management and administration of a SAR CENTRE or unit.
Proficient in reading, written and spoken English. Competency in
Aviation English.
Price: 3,500./participant plus applicable taxes
Including: snacks morning and afternoon, student guide,
a photo of the group per student, site visits to SAR agency and facilities
