Flight decks and
cabins are very confined spaces, with numerous
obstacles that impede free movement of both
potential attackers and defenders. For this
reason, high kicks (anything above the level of
the abdomen) and acrobatics (jumping, spinning
techniques) do not belong in a crewmember’s
in-flight arsenal. Galleys, lavatories and
flight decks are in effect blind spots, which
reduce a crewmember’s reaction time to a
threat. Because attacks may come with little or
no warning, close-range (less than two feet
between opponents) techniques should be
emphasized over long-range techniques.
We offer you a
calendar of training below, and every effort will
be made to schedule you for the training date
you prefer. If you are seeking to participate
for the first time, you should schedule at least
two weeks in advance so that your registration
can be processed, and you can review the
pre-course materials in full. As part of the
registration process, you will be asked to
provide certain personally identifying
information such as your name, address, and
employing air carrier. It is necessary for us to
collect this information in order to verify your
eligibility to participate in the training. We
are committed to collecting, maintaining and
disclosing this information in accordance with
privacy laws and regulations. Depending upon
your carrier’s policy, you may be required to
submit a signed authorization to release
information about your employment status. You
can also take the training as a cabin crew
student in one of our classes.
Enrolment is
limited to a maximum of twenty-five (25)
participants per
class, depending upon location.
You must present your Ariane Information student
card or air carrier identification
card to the Ariane Information's
agent/instructor at the training site, along
with one of the following: valid Driver's
License; valid Passport, or valid Armed Forces
Identification Card. You will not be admitted to
the training without presenting both forms of
identification. Later in the day students move to an aircraft
when possible. Crewmembers that
successfully complete the training may repeat it
as often as they would like. A certificate of
completion will be provided to each crewmember
that successfully completes the training.
We recognizes that
the demands of air carrier flight operations may
create unexpected scheduling conflicts for crew
members. There are no penalty for reporting the
training to another date, but there is penalty
for cancelling a scheduled training date. If you
must cancel, however, please be sure to notify
us as soon as possible so that the training slot
can be made available to others.
"We are more powerful than we think - but our
mind, and words are body are weapons just as
anything else- thank you; we all really enjoyed
the training and we are awaiting for next
year!". "We had a real
boost of adrenaline, and we did things we never
thought we could."
